Vega Pete Seeger Extra Long Neck Open Back Banjo (1965)
This Vega Pete Seeger Extra Long Neck is a signature model of Pete Seeger, the renowned folk singer and political activist. Seeger was instrumental in popularizing “We Shall Overcome,” the anthem of the Civil Rights Movement, and played a key role in bringing the long neck banjo into the limelight. This banjo, both fine-looking and great to play, underwent a refinish to a natural look long ago. It features a Tubaphone tone ring with a bracket band. Accompanied by a period Vega hard shell case (slightly oversized with green lining), this instrument is in Very Good to Excellent Condition (VG-EC).
